A hardcover book dedicated to the Optima typeface. This project involved both bookbinding and layout design. The book explores the history and technical aspects of the typeface and how it is constructed. Optima, designed by Hermann Zapf, is one of the first humanist sans-serif typefaces. In this book I break down its most important features and explain different parts of typographic construction.
